2008 Graduation Ceremony

On Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 2:00 P.M., the Graduate School of Business Administration Diploma Distribution Ceremony will be held at New York City Center, located on West 55th Street between 6th & 7th avenues. The ceremony should last until approximately 3:15 P.M.

Since you have filed your Candidate for Degree Card, we would like to invite you to participate in this year’s ceremony. In order to properly arrange the procession, graduates are required to arrive at 12:30P.M. sharp (late comers will be placed at the end of the procession).  Those participating in the ceremony will be notified in April by the Office of Communications regarding ticket information for guests.

GRADUATION CEREMONY AND IT IS HELD IN MAY.

 

 

 

 

STEP 1. MAILING #1 SENT IN EARLY MARCH FROM PROGRAM MANAGEMENT TO ALL SEPTEMBER 07, FEBRUARY 08, AND MAY 08 GRADUATES.

STEP 2. MAILING #2 - SENT IN APRIL ONLY TO GRADUATES PARTICIPATING IN THE CEREMONY

This mailing comes from the Communications Department and is sent ONLY to those students who have submitted their RSVP and have completed all of the above field requirements. This packet will contain:

  • Five invitations for outside guests to attend the ceremony
  • Five tickets for admission into New York City Center (do not lose them)
  • The Order of Events information sheet for the graduates; this contains all the vital details on when, where, dress, etc.

STEP 3. PICK UP CAPS AND GOWNS

Collegiate/Herff-Jones will deliver your cap and gown to one of the three locations (Lincoln Center, Tarrytown, and Rose Hill).

STEP 4. PARTICIPATE IN GRADUATION RECEPTION

We will be having a congratulatory reception immediately after the graduation ceremony for all graduates and their guests at New York City Center.
 
 

STEP 5. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Additional Tickets

We can guarantee seating of five (5) guests for each graduating student participating in the ceremony. If you need additional tickets you have two options:

  • Check with fellow graduates to see if they are not using any of their five allocated tickets; you can use these "extras."
  • Wait List for Extra Tickets. Earliest requests will be filled first. Email your request to: kmorgan@fordham.edu with the following information:
    1. Name
    2. Address
    3. Phone numbers (day, evening, cell)
    4. E-mail
    5. Number of extra tickets requested
    6. Reason for request

    **Due to space constrictions, extra ticket requests are limited to 3, on a first come first served basis. You will receive a confirmation email if your request can be accomodated. Extra tickets are sent out at the end of April, separate from the guaranteed 5 tickets.
     
     

Special Seating

If you are aware of any guests that will be attending the ceremony that require special seating (wheelchair access seating, etc.), please email kmorgan@fordham.edu for special arrangements.
